Many thanks.  The kids aren't that important to me.
As for Sarah Hall Jackson, maybe she is still with us...........or died in Tibet.

In writing the  genealogy of the Purdys, I find that you spell [see page 1, sept 14] the village 2 ways for the same person. I hit Wikipedia for the answer and it tells me that there are two villages by those names: Lambton and Lambley. Can you please clarify my confusion as to which one you mean.

And, second, what is the church name in South Wingfield?

Many thanks for all your kind help.

You mean this lot?

Samuel PURDIE christened 11 Aug 1793, South Wingfield, Derbyshire.
Parents WM/JANE
(Familysearch.Org)
Siblings christenings;
JOHN Purdie  24 May 1795
MARY Purdey 14 May 1797
SARAH Purdey 12 May 1799
WILLIAM Purdey 12 Dec 1802
JAMES Purdey 10 Feb 1805
JANE Purdey 19 May 1807
THOMAS Purdey 27 April 1809
GEORGE Purdey 11 Nov 1814, buried 16 Nov 1817

Familysearch just has South, Wingfield, no Church named.

Didnt you look at these yourself?

If a Church was named on anything I posted I have typed it in except on thesel
FreeREG has Marriages South Wingfield for;
Sarah 1821
Jane 1825
James 1832
Mary 1834
All under spelling of Purdy

These were at All Saints.
I just expected you would look at the entries on FreeREG yourself.

Trish :)

OK. Thanks. I've got it now. These people just keep naming themselves over and over by the same name and for me it's very confusing. And, people make town names very similar.

It's Hannah Marshall that is Lambley 4/2/98 and it's Hannah Purdy that's in Lambton and both are in Nott.

And, All Saints in South Wingfield is called South Wingfield All Saints.
