Birthplace Help

Help please with the birthplace for this Farmer on the 1871 census. It looks like Berter Derbey but I can't find anything like that on the old maps. Wondering if anyone has any other suggestions.

I think he might be the one in 1851/61 who was born in Newhall Derby?

Hi,

The birthplace reads:

Burton, Derbys

I think he might be the one in 1851/61 who was born in Newhall Derby?

Newhall is now a part of Burton. So a Newhall birth would be spot on.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards

David

Thank you both Carols and David. Yes, he is the Charles Nevill/e I've been following from Newhall, Derby and Derbyshire. Burton makes perfect sense since this line of my family is concentrated there. I often get mixed up on whether it is part of Derbyshire or Staffordshire.

Thank you all again  :)
