MCARDLES OF LOUTH
« on: Monday 25 September 17 12:17 BST (UK) »
I'm hitting a bit of a brick wall and could use an experts help......

My Great Great Grandfather was born 22 Dec 1834 in Kilcurry Parish, County Louth. I have most of his history as he then moved to Stevenson in Ayrshire Scotland however I have very very little on his parents and no idea if he had any brothers or sisters.

I believe his parents were Michael McArdle and Margaret Toole - No marriage dates no death dates and no indication if they remained in Ireland or traveled. I'm pretty confident they were illiterate and that the name was probably spelled differently over and over however even trying variations I'm still hitting a wall.

As direct ancestors this is very important to me and I'd appreciate any hints, tips or help anyone can give.

Thanks in advance
Paul

Have you looked to see what church registers might be available?

According to online searches this might be the correct R.C. parish-

The link about to the parish records was correct in terms of the Parish but the records weren't old enough to list the family members I'm looking for ....
