Lampard family St Giles Middlesex

Hi Everyone,
I have found a family on the 1851 UK census, transcribed as Lampard. The original image appears to support this surname, but I cannot find anything else about them.
The parents are shown as Benjamin and Amy Lampard. I  cannot find a birth for Benjamin and I cannot find a marriage record where he marries Amy.
They have 3 children, Emma, Samuel and Amy. I cannot find the children on GRO Index but if parents weren't married then they would probably have been registered under the mother's name.
I cannot find the family together after the 1851 census either so apart from this one record I have no clues as to where to go next.
Any help would be much appreciated

Hi Lynda

I think I have found the family in 1861 in St Pancras with the name Samford.  Amy is a widow.

There is also a marriage of a Benjamin Sanford to Amy Susannah May  on 23 March 1845.

May be worth following up.

Thank you so much for looking. I will check those records and if they match up do you think that the family name was actually Sanford? It seems a little unlikely that both records were mistranscribed, but not impossible

Hi Barbara,
On looking at the 1861 census I noticed a couple of extra children had been born and when I checked the GRO Index I found them registered as Samford, mother's maiden name May.
Thanks for your help on this one, I now know I can discount them as a connection.

Hi Lynda

In 1871 the family is shown as Sandford so there were multiple spellings.

I found the birth of Benjamin on the GRO index with mmn May in September 1855.  I haven't checked the other children.
