What kind of timescale are we looking at?  Is this person likely to still be alive?

To find out his correct name you could find where the historic electoral rolls are held, and then look up that address.
Or search phone directories on Ancestry.

I can see a Cole's Clothing on Cowbridge Road in 1960, but not a private address.

If he delivered wood as a business, then a phone number might show for that.

If he was only 30 in 1960, he would be only 87 today, and a good chance he may be alive. My g aunt (well my hubby's g aunt) died this year, she was 99 yrs old ( she was actually close to 100 , she died three months off her 100th birthday)
Kind Regards

You already have 2 other posts on same subject

Deaths - Donald A Coles 28  Sep 1960 Bridgend  Volume 8b Page    49

Suggest you look up his birth on freebmd to get his mothers maiden name then use that info to trace further births.  Some of the names you mention above could still be alive.  You need to be aware that there were 2 marriages in Glamorgan with the same surnames for the bride and groom

If I am correct - the person you think may be your father was born 1932 so could still be alive - my sister was born 1929 and my brother 1933 - both still living
