Cutts family from Nottinghamshire

Hi

I am currently researching my ancestors by the name of Cutts from Nottinghamshire from the late 1700's to the early 1800's. So far I have got back to William Cutts b1823 in Kersall, married Emma Pearson and their children. I'm presently trying to verify William Cutts parents who I think were William and Mary Cutts b1797.

I have recently taken up researching my family tree and have so far researched back to Joseph Cutts, b. late 1700's, married Sarah Fox in Wellow, Nottingham, 1814. They so far appear to have had 8 children, including a Joseph b.1815, William c.1827 and my ancestor, Francis c.1827 in Redford, Nottinghamshire.

If anyone is also researching this particular line or who has info with regards to this, please contact me.

Have you been in touch with the Cutts One Name Study Group? I havent quite got back this far so I do not know whether there is any connection. But the one name study group have gone a long way back with the Cutts from Wellow.

Since posting this message I have been in contact with this group and although my contact is in its infancy, the group are very helpful and I have already been fortunate enough to be given details of a contact in Australia who has shared info of two generations back from what I had so far found.

I will continue to stay in contact and will be sharing information with them also to fill in the line of descent that carried on from my ancestor who came to Australia, one of Joseph and Sarah's sons, Francis Cutts.

Angie,  just to give you abit of extra info for you to maybe one day match up to. 
Joseph Cutts and Sarah Fox were married in Wellow, Nottinghamshire in 1814.  Joseph was born in 1793 to parents by the name of Joseph Cutts and Elizabeth Hind, married 1779 in Wellow also.

Also, I was searching on the IGI records in the 1881 British Census last night and noticed a William Cutts born in Kersall as you state below is listed with his household including his wife Emma and their children etc.  You've probably already found it or it may not be yours but thought I'd mention it.

                         Are you sure your Cutts family "in Kersall" does'nt read Inkersall, there is a large Cutts contingency in Inkersall/Staveley/Bolsover area in Derbyshire, I am sending you a contact privately,{if I can find out} how, who has lots about the Cutts family.
