Hi,

You're welcome. :) It was lucky as so many deaths were not reported to Veteran's Affairs.

You can try the London Public Library to see if they have an obituary. You have his date of death
so it should be a quick lookup.

Thanks josey  :)

Thanks again, Sandra, DB and RJ. You're stars indeed.

I've just requested a copy of the obituary.

Cheers,

Rodeo

Just following up regarding John Brown Yule’s obit, a scan of which I received literally within an hour of my request from an extraordinarily kind and efficient assistant at London Public Library. It reads:

YULE – At Westminster Hospital on Friday, April 21, 1950, John Brown Yule, of (number illegible) Gould Street, Toronto, in his 79th year. Resting at the Bennett and Pincombe Funeral Home, King at Colborne, where services will be held on Monday, April 24, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the Veterans Section at Woodland Cemetery.

The illegible number at which he lived in Gould Street looks like 94. Can anyone make it out?   ???

Is Gould Street in the electoral district of Toronto Centre?

Many thanks again to you all.

Cheers,

Rodeo

Gould street runs through Ryerson University... and Ryerson is in the Toronto Centre electoral district.
