RC Baptisms for Fenor circa 1903
« on: Thursday 12 October 17 11:06 BST (UK) »
Hello,

I am unable to find a civil record for the birth of my grandmother who was born sometime in 1903 +_ 1 year. I need alternative proof since the birth appears not to have been registered. I have looked for alternative names and dates across the whole of Ireland for period +- 5 years and nothing.

Using another strategy I suggest/believe she was most likely baptised at the RC Church of Fenor as that is where her mother was living when she married in 1901. My grandmother initially lived with her grandparents for the first five to six years after her parents married. NLI online has the  earlier parish registers but not those for the period I'm interested in.

How and where are the later registers held and accessed?

Hallmark...what is it you are asking me to click on?????  I guess you mean the bottom of the relevant online page of the parish....says Waterford Heritage holds baptism records for this Parish up to 1920. If that is the case then this can be closed.

Thanks Hallmark

In most cases the parish priest holds them. You could ring or e-mail the parochial office to see if they are willing to assist.

On RootsIreland I only see Dunhill listed on their sources not Fenor
http://waterford.rootsireland.ie/generic.php?filename=centres/waterford/sources.tpl
still no harm trying her name on the free search
