John DOWNES baptised 22nd September 1805 Mordiford
« on: Monday 16 October 17 16:09 BST (UK) »
John was the son of John Downes and Sarah Parry
Between 1805 and 1811 the family moved to Cheltenham from Mordiford and remained there until John Downes senior died on 4th February 1859
In his will he left something to each of his 7 children but John (born 1805) is not mentioned
I am therefore assuming that John the son died between 1805 And 1859 can anybody help me prove it?
Many thanks

When was the will made?

Have you found John jnr on the 1841 or 1851 censuses?

Have you checked freebmd for a death between 1837 - date will was made

The will was written in 1857
I have not found him on the 1841 -1871 census
There are no deaths in Chelmsford for that period
All the best

Please clarify as Chelmsford is Essex whilst Cheltenham is Gloucester
