Richard Ribbans born about 1821 Ipswich & marriage abt 1855

Hi all,

I'm trying to find marriage and bapt. for a Richard Ribbans born about 1821 Ipswich.
I have him in the 1851& 61 census for Ipswich St.Margaret,  as a Carter, with wife Eliza, , as a Laundress all
born in Ipswich.
In the 1871 census  it would appear he has died as Eliza is listed as Widow but now is born in Ireland.

As i'm unable to find either a birth or burial can anyone please help?

Hi all,

I have looked again at the census records I referred to and now realise that the 1871 probably does not belong to the Richard & Eliza Ribbans I'm looking for.

In the 1871 census  it would appear he has died as Eliza is listed as Widow but now is born in Ireland.

In fact it may be red herring and the Eliza ( as a widow) may be connected to an un-related  family.

Not only am I unable to find his birth/bapt in Ipswich but can't even find a burial for Richard.

I've tried FreeBMD, SFHS burial index, Ancy, & F/Search all without success.

Any help will be most appreciated.
