Fort Pitt Hospital, Chatham. Kent 1861
« on: Tuesday 24 October 17 20:14 BST (UK) »
John O'Brien married Bridget Partland/McPartland in Glasgow 1860.

He was working at the hospital in Chatham in 1861 and his 3 children were born there.
His wife died there of Cholera a few years later.

I only have a rough idea of his birth in Cork Ireland around 1829 but I do suspect he wasnt totally truthful about the date. he could well have been older.

I would like to get any information about their time there but don't have a clue where to look. None of my efforts so far have turned up anything.

If anyone could help I would appreciate your ideas

Thankyou

Welcome to Rootschat

Have you downloaded a copy of his 1860 marriage cert from Scotlands People to establish his parentage?

He is in a tree on Ancestry, which shows a copy of his marriage certificate.  Have you considered joining Ancestry?

Yes thanks I am with Ancestry and I have the Marriage Certificate.
I'm getting nowhere fast with all that. I haven't been able to get any records from the hospital as I don't know where to look!!
Thanks for your suggestions
