Anc tree gives - Elizabeth Louisa Ann Baker - 1875–1950

Born May 1875 - Parkstone, Dorset, England passed away 12 March 1950 - Toronto, Ontario. (no burial info)

Sidney is listed on FIND A GRAVE but nothing for Elizabeth.

https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=oates&GSiman=1&GScid=639390&GRid=177537775&

Perhaps if you contacted Prospect cemetery to see if Elizabeth is buried with Sidney in a family plot.

Hi Sandra,

Thanks for that date.  I tried finding Elizabeth in the Toronto papers by name... no luck.  The date was the key.

Globe and Mail, March 14 1950, page 22 (also in the same paper on the 13th, page 26)

She is listed as Ann (Elizabeth) Oates.  She died on March 12, 1950 at the home of her daughter (doesn't say which one), 47 Rosevear Avenue.  Ann (Elizabeth) Baker, wife of the late Sidney Oates.  Mother of Olive, Ethel, Elsie, Ivy, Ronald and Nora.   Interment Prospect Cemetery

Not sure how much you have on the children... but here is daughter Elsie Oates Wills in Prospect Cemetery with her husband.

https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=wills&GSiman=1&GScid=639390&GRid=140156762&

Elisie's obituary is in the Toronto Star, May 1, 1967, page 34.  She was the past president of Friendship Branch no 321 RCL. (Not sure what that means).  She died at the Scarborough General Hospital on April 30 1967.  She was 66.  Wife of Bernard Wills, 101 Claremore Ave, Scarborough. Mother of (I will only put initials.  If Elsie was born around 1900, her children were likely born in the 1920s and 1930s and may still be living)  Mrs N Hill (B - this is likely a nickname), R and B of Toronto  (they are both male), Mrs A Samarillo (M), Claremont Ontario, and F of Pickering (also a male).  Grandmother of 12.  Sister of Mrs William Keech (Olive) and Ronald.   Interment Prospect Cemetery.

I wonder if the other siblings are deceased by 1967?  Only Olive and Ronald are mentioned here.
