Hi Irene, welcome to Rootschat.

We would love to help but at the moment it is not clear what information you are looking for.  I can see three names, these being:-

Christa Edith Brandt - When and where was she born?  Is Brandt her maiden name or married name and when and to whom did she marry?

Peter Brandt - Brother to Christa?

Christiana - no surname given - Christa's daughter.

I take it that you are saying the Brandt family lived in Sottmar, Germany.

Christa moved to England and died.  Christa had a daughter Christiana.  Who married the forces man, Christa or Christiana?  When and where did the marriage take place?

Are you able to clarify the above information, so that we have a clearer idea of what information you require?

Hi

Welcome to Rootschat

Can see the 1958 marriage, he re-marrying 10 years later?.

We cannot post details of potentially living people.

Cheers!

Ok, so I've found your parents marriage in 1958 and you have two brothers.

So Christiana was left with Christa's parents in Germany whilst Christa came to England and married Anthony.

Are you trying to find out more about your mother's family the Brandt's and what happened to Christiana?

I'm not familiar with German genealogy so no idea how easy or otherwise it will be to research the Brandt family.  Hopefully another Rootschatter will know more about this than I do.

You may like to consider adjusting your subject title to include the word German or Germany so others know that is where your interest lies.  Up to you.

I think you're going to find this difficult?

Germany has privacy laws that make it difficult to obtain Birth, Marriage and Death information.

Quoting from https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Germany_Civil_Registration

A law passed in February 2007, the Personenstandsrechtsreformgesetz, makes civil registration records more accessible for family history research. Since 1 January 2009 the records are accessible to any researcher after these time periods have passed:

    births: 110 years
    marriages: 80 years
    deaths: 30 years

A direct relationship to the subject of the record sought will only be required in cases where the required time period has not yet elapsed. Even then, the records may be accessible if it can be shown that all "participating parties" have died at least 30 years ago. Participating parties are both parents and the child in birth records, and both spouses in a marriage.  Special regulations apply to records of adoptees and other special-needs groups.

Hi Irene

I can see your UK family ( 2x1960's siblings + 3x1980's )

What exactly are you looking for / what exactly are you hoping to accomplish ?

We cannot talk ( openly, on Rootschat ) about people who are living.

Why not personal message me and give me on outline?

We(you) can then discuss and post ( to the other Rootschatters ) a summary that they may be able to work with.

Quite happy to leave you to it.
Cheers!

Ray
