On December 31st 1672 in Faversham, Kent Isaac Watson married Marie ?

Can anyone tell me what her surname could be.

Looks like Ounderl.

Are you sure it's Watson? Could be Batson.

Ounderl is what it has been transcribed as on one of the sites, but not having much luck finding anything like this surname in any record.

I initially thought Batson after looking at other instances of the letter 'W' on the page , but another record suggests it is Watson.

The Family Search website has decided to produce three names for Marie/Mary, these being:-

Mary Dundell

Mary Qunderl

and Marie Ounderl

Isaac's surname is Watson in all three cases.
Ashford: Somerset, London
England: Devon, London, New Zealand
Holdway: Wiltshire
Hooper: Bristol, Somerset
Knowling: Devon, London
Southcott: Devon, China
Strong: Wiltshire
Watson: Cambridgeshire
White: Bristol
Windo - Gloucestershire, Somerset, Wiltshire

Just seen this post whilst looking for info on Isaac Watson myself. Isaac and Mary are my ancestors and like you I am having problems tracing Mary's origins.

How far have you got tracing Isaac's background?
