I have a Edward Thomas Wren born 23rd January 1851 at Hertfordshire, he 1st married EMMA JENNINGS 25th December 1869 Great Amwell Hertfordshire, they had a daughter Emma Sophia in 1870 at Ware Hertfordshire, 2nd marriage to  a MARY ELLEN FYFE 1874 at Wagga Wagga, she was born 1858 at Williamstown. Their children were  (1)Rachel Elizabeth 1875 died 1907 Western Australia,(2) Edward Thomas 1877 died 1960 in WA (3) Ada Sophia 1878 died 1878 at Wagga Wagga (4) Edith A 1878 Albury,(5) Walter 1879 died 1950 Fremantle (6) Ethel Maude 1881 died 1881 Albury (7) Annie Mary 1884 died 1937 Perth.

I found a death of a Emma Wren in 1907 at Bishops Stortford Hertfordshire, did they separate & he came to NSW Australia?

I am now looking for  the deaths of Edward Thomas Wren & his wife Mary Ellen I can not find them in WA

Thank You

Don't know if this ties in with your information but there's a Wren family in Luton in 1871 census
Thomas WREN - age 20, born Herts Ware, Fish Monger
Emma Wren - age 22
Emma Wren - 5 months

1872: Death, registered in Luton (March quarter) of Emma Wren, age 23

From Hertfordshire Advertiser dated 23 March 1878:
DEATHS:
18 March 1878, at Hertford, Mr Thomas Wren, age 26

Oddly I can't find this death registered on Freebmd  ???

1881  census has Emma Sophy WREN living with her Aunt & Uncle George & Caroline Jennings. She's age 11, born Ware.
There were no other registered births in Herts for an Emma Wren apart from Emma Sophia Wren - Dec Qtr 1870 (3a, 240). Logic says this is the same child.

1891 census - young Emma Wren is a servant in Hackney
She married Albert White 31 Oct 1903 at MEOT (London). Her father's name is recorded as "Ernest Thomas WREN"

Hope something here is of use

EDIT - red warning - shall post anyway just in case ...
 - apologies Rosie - I've duplicate a lot of your info (slow typist  :-[ )

Thank You rosie99  & Lady  Di, I think you have found the right family here, so Emma has died that is why Edward came to Australia without her. Also didn't  know they had a son  sadly he died to &   never came with his father.  Great work :)

The son appears to be still living in 1911  ;)
