I have been tracing a fallen RAF airman, whose family ended up in South Africa. The airman's body lies at rest in the Commonwealth War Graves in Copenhagen, Denmark. The airman's sister (surname Sinclair and born in the then South West Africa) married a Stammers in South Africa, and they had a son named Duncan Stammers b. 30 May 1944 d. 02 Sep 1978. According to what I can trace, Duncan Stammers married and had at least one, possibly two children. I don't know where in South Africa they settled - perhaps Port Elizabeth as I have seen some reference to Stammers in PE.
I have tried many of the search engines and ancestry sites, etc. but not much success in SA. I would dearly like to trace the family and complete the history to date. If anyone has any ideas or can assist in locating the Stammers family or pointing me in the right direction, I will be grateful.
