Need help with my search
« on: Thursday 02 November 17 20:56 GMT (UK) »
I have very little information except the following  engraved on a Silver Locket as follows:
James Barry Royal Navy CP 1927 . The story is that James was the fiance of a lady (deceased) am assisting her grandaughter in her search. As I understand it James died before his daughter was born in august 1928 to his fiance they were unmarried at this time. The child was reared with her mothers surname & having checked baptism no mention of James Barry. Have also searched Census for James , deaths on irish genealogy which there was 1 of a James age 40 a naval Pensioner bachelor registered Midleton May 1927 (couldnt be childs father  she born august 1928) Mother of child Dora Condon her daughter name Annie Condon all persons deceased. I am wondering as James was in Royal Navy he could have died anywhere if in active service.
Thank you

looks like Barry and Condon still living in Middleton

you could try the local papers they would be a note in asking for information.
