Levi is a mystery as he disappears without trace and has a dubious beginning, but think he was both Ann and William’s they just lied in a different way.

I have some details on the Daniels, even have a DNA match, which is how I ended up seeking William’s family.

Welsh family history isn’t easy!

I've just been looking at the Daniel family of Cefn Mawr - no real clues there, really  :-\

I was in the middle of doing a walk through of the 1851 census to see if there was any sign of William. As WRJones will tell you, everyone knew everyone in Cefn at one time  ;D

And no, Welsh research isn't easy - it's taken me 20 years to track down a 3 x grt grandfather (John Roberts)  ::)

Sadly for young Levi that sounds bang on!

Wonder why the birth registration shows SINGLE, I have seen some transcription errors but Daniel to Single?

If whoever registered the birth was asked for mmn,  they answered something like 'she's single'. The word Single might have then been written down, maybe.

Sorry, went to bed!

Yes I did have Ann in 1861 but glad we are in agreement over it.

It sounds like someone bodged the birth certificate for Levi.

I’m confused by the census I have for 1911, think I may have the wrong couple as the signature does not match with the wedding document.
