Smith, Henry & Mitchell, Elizabeth
« on: Thursday 09 November 17 14:22 GMT (UK) »
Hi All of you knowledgeable people,

The above couple were married at The Parish Church of Gillingham on the 10th of October 1807 according to an old family bible.

I can't find their marriage anywhere. Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance.

:) :) You're welcome. I nearly missed it as the banns were towards the top of the images but the marriages came later on.

So do you think it would follow that they would probably be baptised in the same parish? or should I try and find their death first to see if the names are on there? Just ignore me if I'm asking too many questions. That piece of paper over the Banns is helpful ha ha ha. Thanks again

Well, the deaths wouldn't show the parents.

IF you think they're from the same parish you could try:
http://www.rootschat.com/links/01l15/

Long slog but scroll down to Results 11 and start looking at the images. :) :)

On online tree (A*try) says Henry was baptised Dec.3 1786 but who can tell with the name SMITH?

Good luck! Hope the link works-been having a problem with it.

Maureen

EDIT:
Go here:
http://cityark.medway.gov.uk/

On the left hand side click Parish Registers Online-scroll down to Gillingham, St. Mary Magdalene CMB 1558-1967 (click here).
