Catherine Fox married by 1818 death or burial 1820-1822 possibly in Saxilby
« on: Saturday 11 November 17 01:51 GMT (UK) »
Hi can SKS help?

I am trying to find the maiden name for Catherine Fox who was married to William Fox.  They had two daughters called Mary bapt 1818 and Hannah bapt 1820 both Saxilby.  I cannot find any other records for Catherine.  There is a marriage for William in March 1822 to Elizabeth Roosten in Saxilby. They have 5 or 6 children also in Saxilby.  So maybe Catherine died between having Hannah and William marrying Elizabeth.

TIA

Marriage may have been earlier than c 1817;

Burial:
WILLIAM Fox, Son of William, 17 Nov 1821, St Botoloph, Saxilby, age 5**
(FreeREG)

I have found that a lot of Lincs Men married Women from Yorkshire whilst researching for others.

Having said that I cant find a Marriage for William/Catherine or a Baptism for William c 1816.

Saxilby is only a mile away from being in Nottinghamshire.
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.

William was probably the son of Jonathan and Elizabeth Fox of North Scarle, baptised in 1792, which fits in with the death record.

Jonathan named William in his will but this is held at Nottinghamshire Archives, so as Geoff mentioned, there could be a Nottinghamshire link to his first marriage, although I can't find one. However, it is also listed at Lincolnshire Archives.

This record mentions John, son of Jonathan, of Newton (on Trent, Nottinghamshire?)
