If you are sure that Robert was born in Staffordshire there is the following

Robert Brown 4/4 1906 Wolverhampton looking at the GRO his mothers maiden name was Saunders

If you look at the 1911 census he's living with his parents in Birmingham

1939 Register appears to confirm his date of birth as 28 July 1906, living in Cannock.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Ha! just looked at this again and found another Robert living in Wolverhampton in 1911 and looking at it his mothers name was Saunders

Can't post the 1911 census but Robert Brown married Eliza Jane Saunder 2/4 1904 Wolverhampton

but I suspect the family in Aston are the ones you want although they all say they are born Wolverhampton I cant find them on the BMD but here they are in the 1901 census

24 Russett? Street Wolverhampton

James Brown 38 head b Wolverhampton cycle enameller
Sarah Brown 27 Wife b Wolverhampton
Louie Brown 6 dau b Wolverhampton (Actually Alice Louisa - known as Louisa)
Richard Brown 2 son b Wolverhampton
Sarah Brown 2m dau b Wolverhampton
Ben Brown 25 brother b Wolverhampton brass dresser
Robert Bradburn 20 brother in law b Wolverhampton Oiler ? cycle fitting
Thomas Bradburn 15 brother in law

RG13/267638

You really need Roberts marriage certificate to confirm his father James Brown married Sarah Maria Bradburn 3/4 1893 Wolverhampton
