Charles Gibbs (b1840) - can't find after 1861 but no death record
« on: Tuesday 14 November 17 10:15 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

Charles Gibbs was born around 1840 in Pinvin/Pershore , Worcestershire. He married Ann Collins in 1857, however I have found her in every census and she is not with him except 1861. She is listed as married (and with her children) in every census up until 1891 by which time she has remarried.

So, I can not find Charles anywhere on censuses (or any record) after 1861. I can't find a death record either so think he is probably still alive. Any help would be appreciated, thank you :)

Couple of articles in the newspapers in 1866 might be him referring to a Charles Gibbs of Pershore having deserted  his wife and children and receiving 3 months hard labour.
Dent (Haltwhistle and Sacriston), Bell and Jetson (Haltwhistle), Postle, Ward, Longstaff, Purvis, Manners, Parnaby and Hardy (Co. Durham), Kennedy and McRobert (Banffshire), Reid(Bathgate), Watson (Wemyss), Graham (Libberton), Sandilands (Carmichael), Munro (Dingwall)
