Grandfathers parents

 I'm trying to find any information on my grandfather's parents. My grandfather was born in 1930 in Kent. His parents are John Wright and Millie or Lilly unknown last name.

The GRO index on freebmd should give mothers maiden name against your grandfathers 1930 birth registration

I can see, from your other threads, that he married in 1930, and therefore the ladies name.

Please confirm the date of her death, so that we don't break the Rootschat "no living" rule?

If your Grandad is still alive, do not post his details. As Rosie said, look on www.freebmd.org.uk

There are lots of babies with the surname Wright listed in each quarter and it will give you the registration district. Then when you have located his registration, which will give his Mother's maiden name, look on the marriages using both surnames.

I have Wright in my direct family from Brabourne but its quite a popular surname. Post again if we can help you at all.
