Hull / East Yorkshire Regiment - useful website
« on: Wednesday 15 November 17 21:21 GMT (UK) »
I am currently researching the men named on the St. George in the East (East London) War Memorial, one of which served with the 6th Bn., East Yorkshire Regiment and came across this brilliant website which others might find useful:

http://ww1hull.org.uk/

There's a lot of general information on the War as well as info. relating to men and families from Hull.
Wright (West Ham, Stratford, Cripplegate)
Widenstrom (Chicago and Minnesota)
Swain (Cripplegate, St Lukes)
Wolfe (St Giles in the Fields)
Willis (Gt. Leighs; Brentford)
Bryant (Bristol, Glos)
Searle (Kent/Surrey)
Keyworth (Yorkshire)
Biggs (Harrow Weald)
Collins (Harrow Weald and Wiltshire)
Langston (Harrow Weald)

Thanks for that link Alison.

I was born in Hull and haven't come across that site before.
