Hi Lisa,
The daughter Alice Maud OVENS, I believe married Edward BOYNE?
I see also from the son William OVENS 's birth - his mother is listed as Harriet MUNRO
In the 1911 Census,
Alice and Edward BOYNE are in Toronto West, with their 2 daughters, and also on the house is:
Aunt: Catherine ELLISON widow, b Jan 1847 Ontario, age 64 (not 84?) Nurse to Private Family
Cousin: Catherine ELLISON single, b Nov 1874 Ontario, age 36
There is this 1861 Census: Goderich, Huron, Canada West
John FARRIS, 54, Labourer, b Ireland
Catherine FARRIS,40, wife of J F, b England
Mary Ann MUNRO, 16, Spinster,
Catherine MUNRO, 14, child of C Farris
Harriet MUNRO , 10, child of C Farris
Martha MUNRO, 8, child of C Farris
Anna FARRIS, 1, child of J F
Julia FARRIS , 15 child of J F
ALL the children born Canada West
And there is this 1873 Marriage, Toronto:
On: 23 March 1873, Church of England
Joseph ELLISON, age 30, bachelor, b Toronto, of Toronto, Carpenter
Parents: William & Jane ELLISON
Catherine MUNRO , age 25, spinster, b Toronto, of Toronto
Parents: John & Catherine MUNRO
Witness: John WRENSHALL, Mary Ann WRENSHALL, Toronto
Just typing up Catherine ELLISON (nee MUNROE) in 1881 and 1891. I think she could be your Harriet's sister.
And if we could get a lead on Mary Ann WRENSHALL....
.....If we could find a lead back to the FARRIS family, that might clinch it all round!
Cheers
AMBLY
