Missing in census 1891?
« on: Sunday 19 November 17 18:39 GMT (UK) »
Hi.

1901 census shows Frederick Wells, born Nuthurst, 35 with wife Caroline 40 and children Robert 14, George 11, William E 10, Winifred 8, Edith 6 and Albert E 2.

Frederick married Caroline Laker in 1894.

Robert and George have mmn as Grant and in the 1911 census, Robert, 24, is there with Percy....26 (no George)

The problem is that I can find no-one in 1891.....

Would also like to find out who the father "Grant" was (cannot find a marriage for Grant & Laker).

Could be, although Caroline's father was Peter and I haven't come across Sparshott (he was Percy Grant in 1911).

Mmm, getting a bit concerned, if the Percy Laker 14 b Reigate in 1901 is the same as the 1891 Percy, then the James Sparshott married a Harriet HEDGER in 1859 Thakenham, so wondering how Percy a Grandson?
