Movement within the Metropolitan Police

Hi guys I'm currently chronologing the movements of a particular police officer (one of whom arrested my uncle in 1919) in the met, I am puzzled as to why he would have the promotion  rank of Sergeant twice (Photo attached) can anyone help? Many thanks

Who knows Rosie, it looks to me to be " cid in 1914 (it's annoying when they wrote like Doctors - ineligible. Hopefully someone will help.

I know noting about the Police Service, but it looks to me like 3rd Class in 1909 and 2nd Class in 1914. Could it simply mean he was promoted to a higher grade?

Googling sargeant 2nd clas cid.      Refers to a Inspector assisted by a detective sergeant 1st class, looks like they were ranks only within the CID, within a division.

Hi all recieved a reply from Metropolitan Police Heritage Centre, it's CV-C1 which is the Public Carriage Office: Central Vehicles for the date of 15 December 1920.
