We could do with a death for Mary after 1861.

This just might be her and daughter Emma in 1871, despite the birthplaces
piece 397 folio 32 page 3
St Luke
123 Central St
Mary Park Head Wid 72 Formerly Laundress, born Mx London
Emma Park Daur Unm 38 Milliner Mx London
Alfd Perry Grandson 6 Mx London

That may seem unlikely, but in 1881 we have -
piece 357 folio 90 page 29
Clerkenwell
Emma Parks Head Wid 49 Dressmaker Sussex Brighton
Alfred Parks Son 15 Porter Middx St Lukes

Emma may be calling herself a widow for appearances perhaps.
There is a birth registration for Alfred Perry/Parks
June 1865 St. Luke 1b 629
Parks, Alfred Perry
mother -

Has the dash for mother's maiden name that usually means illegitimate.

Could he have been baptized as Alfred Percy Parks? 5th April 1868, at Clerkenwell St Paul.
Father given as Alfred, mother Emma. Abode Central Street.
Occupation Milliner!!

If all this is right, then Mary's death is
March qtr 1878 Holborn 1b 550
Parks, Mary
age 79

Burials at City of London & Tower Hamlets Cemetery, 1878
Mary Parks
abode 123 Central Street St Luke
buried Feb 8
age 79 ys

Excellent find John, I could only see Emma with son Alfred on the census after 1871  :)

Thanks Rosie.
Well, Mary is very reluctant to say exactly where she was born.
That's three opportunities she's had!

Hello Rosie & John,
Great that you were able to get more pieces of the puzzle! We now also can deduct that Mary Reed was born in 1799, most likely from Sussex. She died 08-02-1878 Holborn West End London. She got married 04-12-1828 Brighton, Sussex.
As for William we now know that he died  07-06-1846 Islington Middlesex, London [27 Popham Street] and most likely was born 1792 Middlesex, Shoreditch London.
