I have just received from Maggsie information about the births of Elisha and Mary's children in Dublin - Francis 1870, Peter 1873 and Mary Ann 1874.  Elisha is listed as a Corporal in the Artillery.

This is wonderful.  And how rare to find a Trewartha outside Cornwall who was not a miner!

Thanks also to Shay123 for the geographical info.

Much easier if links are posted to what has been found rather than all the "Cloak & Dagger" stuff!!

Keeps everyone in the picture...

http://www.rootschat.com/links/01lrj/ is the Link to what was found.... no reason for not posting them to board directly!!

You miss the point that information not appropriate to be posted publicly may be sent in a private message.

I take the point that posting links to a thread is useful, but your sarcasm is not appreciated and not worthy of an experienced Rootschatter.

Nothing inappropriate there and others need to be kept in the picture as to what has been found!

On the day that's in it , when we should be apologizing to Welshmen for kidnapping a young man called Patrick in the fifth century and he coming back some years later to spread Christianity to us here in Ireland.
Happy St. Patrick's day

I am the great grand daughter of Elisha and Mary Trewartha.  The grandfather is Peter Trewartha.
There are 5 children, Francis, Mark, Peter, Mary-Ann and Colin.

I am desperately trying to find out more info on Peter Lennon, Mary Lennon and the wife/mother.

Hallo, Gail, and a warm welcome to Rootschat.

My line comes from a different branch of the Trewarthas of Gwennap.  I haven't done much work in following the line of Elisha Trewartha and Mary, but I'll do some digging and see what I can find.
