Presumably you worked your way back to this chap b 1699 Somerset.
How does he slot into the history that you already have?

"Hardington Mandeville is a village and civil parish in Somerset, England, situated 3 miles south west of Yeovil in the South Somerset district. The village has a population of 585".

What particular information is it that you seek?
You have not even indicated if you are trying to find his ancestors or any descendents

I Have quite a lot of his ancestors. I am interested in finding his wife's surname and family for now. I will post more info about Delamont family. I went to Hardington last year and saw house Jonah Delamont lived in. He came to Australia with his wife Esther and family in early 1800's.Jonah was my gt gt grandfather.If any info is wanted about Australian Delamonts I will be happy to Help. Regards Helen

Can't find a marriage to Catherine but there is one to Sarah...

John Delamont.  m  Sarah Roles. 04 Feb 1722. West Coker, Somerset.  (West Coker is about 1 mile from Hardington Mandeville).

There are also 2 burials that maybe associated...

Sarah Dalamount. burial  08 Sep 1791, West Coker, Somerset.  daughter of John Dalamount and Catherine.

Ely Dalamount. burial 24 Feb 1782. West Coker, Somerset.  son of  John Dalamount and Catherine.

John and Sarah had a son John Delamont, b 1732,   he married Mary Bord   23 September 1760, West Coker, Somerset.

John Delamont, b 1732, second wife Catherine Hawkins. b 1752. West Coker, Somerset.  Married 18 January 1781,  West Coker, Somerset.    Their children, Ely 1781, Sarah 1784 and Elias 1791.

John Delamont. burial Jan 1709/10, St Mary, Hardington Mandeville.

John Delamont. baptism 30 Dec 1732, St Martin, West Coker.  father John,  mother Sarah.

Also...

John Delamont.  m  Catherine HAWKINS. 18 Jan 1781, St Martin. West Coker.  John was a widower.

Sarah DALAMOUNT. burial 27 Dec 1768, St Martin, West Coker.  Register note    Widow?

There is something going on with the names Delamont and Gillham.

John Delamont. baptism 15 Jan 1698/99. St Martin, West Coker. father William,  mother Hannah.

John Gillham. baptism 15 Jan 1698/99. St Martin, West Coker. father William,  mother Hannah.

Register note.  From typed bishop's transcript SOM DD/NNE C/1048; GILLHAM alias DELAMONT; titled 1699; sequence suggests 1698-1699.

Also found this...

Charles Gilliam Or Delamont. baptised 16 Mar 1701. West Coker, Somerset.                        Father's Name    Wm Gilliam Or Delamont.  Register note    GILLHAM alias DELAMONT; & his wife.

Added...

Hannah Gillham. burial 11 Aug 1708, St Martin, West Coker, Somerset.  Wife of William.
