Fanny Graham nee Nabb died 1923 Isle of Man
« on: Friday 08 December 17 22:23 GMT (UK) »
I wonder if there are any burial records that may reveal the where about s of the named person .. married to a John Graham from Glasgow, Scotland ..
Fanny nee Nabb was from Bury in Lancashire, England ..
Guys I hope that I can get a lead to Fanny Graham nee Nabbs whereabouts .. I am trying to help a very giving lady in Canada who has actually helped me enormously on my own family tree research .. I am grateful of any info from the clues below ...

I attach quotes from the kind lady I have been dealing with ..

I knew that my grandmother (Fanny Graham nee Nabb born 1871)had been taking care of her husband until she became ill.  I have pictures of my mother sitting on my grandmothers lap on the Isle of Man where she, my mother and aunt had gone to recuperate for a month.  That is why my grandfather (John Graham b 1866) was into the Homeopathic.  My grandmother had a brain hemorrhage the day before they were to return to Glasgow.  I don’t really know what my grandfather was sick with and have often wondered. (Actually trying to trace this man also)  I have a fragment of the newspaper article on his death.  He was a member of the Bran??? since its formation.  Comrade Graham contributed a weekly article on “Municipal Enterprise in Glasgow” to a local Manchester newspaper.  To his sorrowing family the members of the Possilpark  ?(not sure of letter could be) X.L.P extend their deepest and heartfelt sympathy in there hour of sorrow.

My Grandmother is buried on the Isle of Man.  We did not go there in 1968 as the motorcycle races were on and my mother didn’t want to go then.  She did go with my sister (name omitted as living)  I have one picture that say on the rocks at ?nchan possibly Anchan  it would be 1923.   Another letter written July 16/23, just days before my grandmother died, in it she says my grandfather was  sick for 8 months.  The address on the letter is C/o Sayle 70 (looks like it could be Circular Rd)  Douglas IOM.  I see by Google there is such a place.  That was where they stayed.  Would there be records of burials?

I am grateful for help

Thanks

That would be Onchan ;D
And I happen to live on Circular Road ;D ;D

ManxBMD.com gives Fanny's death in 1923, Douglas, age 52

Fanny was actually buried in Douglas Borough Cemetery, Glencrutchery Road, Douglas.

I might be able to get to the cemetery, and look for a headstone.

But today we had the worst snow-storms for years!
It will have to wait until the weather is better.
I am also away for Christmas from 17th.

70 Circular Road has disappeared underneath a new office block for Microgaming :(
But I found a series of love letters online, that implied it was a boarding house. I can research that at the library, as they have the annual Tourist Guides.

If there is an M.I. it will be indexed at the Manx Museum Library, together with the plot number.
It's quicker searching that way ;D ;D
