Dating an old photograph maybe John & Ellen New of Newbury

Hi,
I wonder if anyone could assist me in ascertaining the approximate date (most likely in the 1800's) this photo was taken.   We think it could be of my great great grandparents, they lived in Newbury, Berkshire, and the photograph was taken by C.Hawker, Portrait and Landscape Photographer, 84 Northbrook Street, Newbury.

1870's & most likely mid-late decade.
She appears to be wearing a love chain. Traditionally made from a single piece of wood by the girl's intended. This was probably store bought.
They look early 20's.
You may need to rethink.

I've got a pic of a lady with more or less identical dress - dated 1875-80.

The long square bodice is typical of the mid-late 70's. By the end of the decade it morphs into a "W" shape & then the shorter "V" shape which we see throughout the 80's.

Thank you everyone, well that has now got me thinking, who are they?    Was thinking it was my GG Grandparents, they were born in 1832 though, don't think it would be them, that would make them around 40, they maybe look younger than that.
