ADDED: Problem solved! It is a bad transcription and the name is not Reeves but Beer!  ;D ;D ;D

Surely there are no bad transcriptions of the 1939 Register!
But then, my father is a female in the index, with a girl's name - so there are!

Not very good transcribing as they only had to look elsewhere on the page and it would have been very clear it is a B not an R.
