Pawson family York

I am  starting to research the family of my Grandad Arthur Pawson who was born in York on 21.11.1874. His parents were a Benjamin and Elizabeth Pawson. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am not immediately spotting him in 1881 census - have you got him? If so can you tell us about the family?
I see you have an exact date of birth - does that mean you have his birth cert? If so, what was Elizabeth's maiden name?

I am not seeing a birth reg for Arthur Pawson in 1874 in York either!

Have you got the actual birth certificate for him, to confirm his Mother's maiden name?

If he is the one born in 1894 rather than 1874, he seems to have settled in Hull and died there in Q4 1968 - but at least one record shows his exact birthdate as 13 Oct 1894, so not tallying with the 21 November birthday mentioned in the opening post
