Rebecca J Parker
« on: Friday 22 December 17 17:22 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone help me trace the whereabouts of Rebecca J Parker after the 1901 Census for West Ham where she turns up as a 7 year old in Albert Parker's family. I believe she married James Taylor in 1913 in West Ham... thank you.

Someone of that name did marry James Taylor as you say but if I have the right family of Albert and Clara, Rebecca j Parker was 17 in 1901. However no trace after.

Colin
Clarke, Trickett, Orton, Lawless, Norton, Detheridge, Kirby, Goodfellow, Wagstaff, Lowe, etc.

You are right Colin, she was 17 in 1901, my mistake. Anyone know what the J stands for to help the search more.

Try looking for her as Jane in 1911 - I can't check Family Search at the moment as they are having technical difficulties

Free BMD suggests Rebecca's middle name was Jane.

In 1911 Albert and Clara have living with them daughter Jane, b c  1844. Is this Rebecca using her middle name?

I think you have hit the nail on the head brentor boy. Age correct, 27,  and her sister Eleanor is 26 and the 1901 refers to Maud E as 16 (also second name?)  Thank you.

Rebecca J Parker married James Taylor in West Ham 1913. Now I need to find out how Rebecca and James got to know each other. Did they live near each other? Did Rebecca move to another county? I have found a Rebecca and James Taylor living on a farm and having children in Worcester in 1919; her first boy being called Albert after her father? If it is the same couple, did they have any other children before a possible move to Worcester?

Rebecca jane Taylor of poplar farm, steeple in Essex, died 29 jan 1958 at Malvona Albany road in  west bergholt (maybe a home or relatives home.) she left about £5200 to Albert James taylor, farmer, and Catherine Clara roots, married woman. Maybe they were her children? From the probate record.

Ps just read you post above about Albert.
