James is still alive on 17th Feb 1940.just found Catherine’s marriage record on Parish records.
Little  wigborough. Rebecca signed it. Doesn’t say deceased on James part.
Maurice is a farmer in great wigborough. James and Maurice’s father are also farmers. As Rebecca was of poplar farm, steeple, I’d guess James was a manager of farms maybe?

P.s.  ow I’ve found the marriage, have looked in little wigborough for the death. Bingo. James taylor. Aged 65. May 20th 1943 was the burial. New hall farm, Little wigborough.

Thanks...  so they left the farm in Worcester about 1925/26 because at that point another tenant farmer appears and takes over the farm.

My reason for this research is that I live in the tied cottage that was once part of the Worcester farm and I am trying to research it's past. :D

So I wonder where James was born in 1878. Was he a Worcestershire man? ... an Essex man?

Acton beauchamp, herts, 15 Dec 1878 according to the tree on ancestry. Parents James and Catherine. Look for him on 1911 in Worcester! Wonder why he went to Essex to marry Rebecca? He was 34 when he married. She was 30.
