Thanks for this information ;D

Ashton Gate would be the right part of Bristol.
He had a daughter, Ivy Matilda Karlsson , born 1913. She was the wife of my 1st cousin, once removed.

Date of Birth matches the 1939 National Register.
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

Cheers KGarrad

His occupations in Oskarshamn were seaman, harbour worker and stoker. It looks as though the minister has written the wrong year for birth year.

I also found that Karl Gustaf was a member of the Svea Life Guards in Stockholm around 1900. This image doesn't show much but it is from the 8th Company of the Svea Life Guards church book. This book is only avaliable as a subscription.
