My great Aunt Mary
« on: Sunday 24 December 17 11:57 GMT (UK) »
 :) :) Merry Christmas everybody. :D :D

This is a photo of my grandfathers sister, my great Aunt Mary taken outside the Swan Inn, Middleton on Lune which she and her husband owned. It was probably taken in the 1870s.

If any body needs a break from the Christmas festivities and is looking for something to do, I would love to see it restored, maybe coloured.

A couple from me.
Before doing a coloured one I turned it into a painting; that way I figured I could do a quick'n'dirty paint job and the mistakes would then be "artistry". :D (It's almost present opening time here so it had to be quick. I have to go off now and play with my grandkids toys - and consume some lollies and chocolate.)
Merry Christmas to you and yours, Pat.

A few blobs of colour from me Pat. Got to get some shut-eye now ready for the invasion of the grandchildren tomorrow today.

I could be very wrong, but I don't think 1870s       :-\

- I am guessing early 1900s - Edwardian.  It is those large/huge hats . . . . . .

So are you sure you have the right people?  If you add 'Dating' to your original title, you will bring in those who know about fashion and dates.  ;)

Happy Christmas!
