My grandparents say that she didn't marry Henry Harrison and thier son was called Joe. The bit I'm confused about with her is that she was married for a good few years before leaving my g.grandad. She was still in Stockport with Henry. My grandparent say that she went by Renshaw until she married the polish guy in Sheffield.

The marriage was between Antin Prystasz and Sussannah R Harrison, so the 'R' will refer to the Renshaw, possibly implying an ambiguity in her actual legal situation?

I think that she was unable to marry Henry because Thomas was still alive .There is a death record  for a Thomas Renshaw who died in 1958 at the age of 52 which more or less fits agewise.
Perhaps Henry was also still married.
I can't see a birth record for Joe under Harrison or Renshaw.

Do you know if Henry and Susannah moved to Oldham when they set up home together?
There is a birth record that could be relevant but as he could still be living I'm not printing it.

Me neither! It's been really hard to find out things about her. There's got to be something that they didn't want to be known.

Joe died either last year or the year before. He is burries with susanna and Henry but his name isn't on the gravestone yet.

Hi I am certain from those birth records Henry & Susannah "adopted" James born 1935 Stockport in 1950, also had the child Henry in 1936 in Sheffield who died aged 19 in Stockport?

I'll have to check with my grandad when Susanna moved to Sheffield. Maybe that's why I'm not finding anything for Joe; as I've been looking in Stockport.

Hi,
I saw the posts from LeighRensh asking for information on Susannah Boswell. She is my Grandmother. My Grandfather was Henry Harrison. My Great Grandfather was Johnny Boswell, Great Grandmother was Elizabeth Davenport. I am the Daughter of Susan Hazel who was Susan Harrison, Susannah's daughter. My mother is still living, and so is my Auntie Betty. I think Leighs Father is my  cousin, John Renshaw...son of John Renshaw, my uncle. If i can help with LeighRensh search, she can contact me. I am Wendy Walker...maiden name Hazel.
