Harriet Sparks & Ernest Pearse

Harriet Ann Sparks (1844 - 1899) gave birth to my great grandfather in 1870 in Portsmouth. She was unmarried and her baby was raised by relations.
I've recently discovered that in 1871 she married Ernest Augustus Spry Pearse (b. Launceston, Cornwall 1849) in St George Hanover Square, London.
(In 1861 Harriet was living with her family at 42 Brunswick Road, Portsea, Hants.)
In the 1871 census Ernest A Pearse is listed as a boarder, single, mate merchant service, at 45 Hanover St., London.
I'd like to find where Harriet was in 1871; I can't find her in the census.
I've found records of Harriet, Ernest and their 3 children in the 81, 91 & 01 census.
Ernest A S Pearse is listed in the 1911 census as widowed, boarder, railway gateman at 32 Talbot Road, Twickenham.
I'd like to find out when Ernest died; I can't find a death record or probate notice.

You don't say where the marriage was within the Reg district, what address the bride & groom wed from, nor any witness names?

Nor do you give a birth year for Ernest.

Date of birth is a bit out for Ernest, but have you discounted the 1931 death in Southampton?

(An ancestry tree has the 1931 death for someone else so, perhaps not).

I looked but can’t find it online. Neither can I see Harriet.
There might be an address for her, although it could be the same as Ernest which wouldn’t help and the witnesses might help if you could connect either to Harriet.
