Ordering marriage certificates
« on: Sunday 07 January 18 10:37 GMT (UK) »
I have been round and round the GRO website trying to order a marriage certificate from 1866: www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/default.asp

Unfortunately they're not included in the £6 offer, but I can't see how to order them at the usual £9.25 price either!

Any ideas please?

Thanks
Kath

Hi Kath77,
Just out of interest what price difference is there between them all, I believe my lowest charge has been £8, but I have seen a price of £3 shown. This was available only if you went to original district of registration. Not sure / can't remember unfortunately, I believe that my first sighting was on the Lancashire Family History site. I at the time had no need of a Lancashire certificate, and until now still not.

In England/Wales - £9.25 from GRO (postage paid); usually £10 or £10.50 from District Registrar.
And now £6 for a PDF, direct from GRO.

There are no other options for Cerificates ;D

Ireland offers a Research Copy of certificates for €4.
