Domenica Righetti

Hello, My name is Vic Mather and I am tracing Domenica Righetti (my GGGrandmother) who sailed to Australia on the SS Great Britain, along with her Married Sister Maria Lucrezia Giacometti (nee Righetti), and her two Brothers, Marco and Giuseppe Righetti. All were born in Someo, Ticino, Switzerland. The SS Great Britain arrived in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on the 2nd May 1861, and that is all the information I have. The person listed on the Great Britain manifest in 1861 is recorded as Domenico RIGGATTI, a male farmer aged 21.

Your Domenica's marriage certificate should give her age and birthplace and name both her parents.

 i have two connections to this post.
The name Righetti is unusal and I had a teacher at Foster High School in the 1960's and one of my teachers was Miss Righetti. No details remembered as she was not there for long.
Two - If you find a passenger list for the SS Great Britain keep an eye open for any McClures as it is believed that my Samuel McClure came to Australia on that ship. [He also finished in Foster].

As Debra has pointed out, they were not aboard that vessel.

In the will it states that her name is Domenico sometimes known as Domenica.
