Glad i could help. I know the frustration all to well.

If you look at the top line of the graphic it says Civil registry, entry 30

IŽll see if I can find any info on LauraŽs siblings

The joys of armchair genealogy.

The archives in Poland are making huge numbers of records available online.

This link https://www.genealogiawarchiwach.pl/ will allow you to view and download the marriage certificates of sisters(!!) Laura and Doris Placzek. Both were daughters of Jacob Placzek and Henriette born Wunsch.

Search for the town Naklo and choose 'Acta Malzenstw' for marriages. Doris's marriage was number 18 in 1883, Laura's was number 30 in 1899.

Civil registration of births started in October 1874.

Thanks to Dave and Justin.

I have no idea what I am doing wrong, but I am getting nowhere.

I click on the link kindly provided, up comes a page, but it won't accept anything I enter for searching, and does not let me see what you can see......

If you can visit an LDS Family History Centre, you will be able to browse through the pre-1874 Jewish registers from Nakel yourself.

https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/results?count=20&placeId=44005&query=%2Bplace%3A%22Germany%2C%20Preu%C3%9Fen%2C%20Posen%2C%20Nakel%22&subjectsOpen=347509-50

Jacob Placzek was 71 when he witnessed Laura's marriage, so he was born in about 1828. You might even find his birth in the Jewish records which run from 1823.
