Lutheran Church Records - Zellerfeld, Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony)
« on: Wednesday 10 January 18 22:29 GMT (UK) »
Hello. I am hoping for some pointers on how to obtain copies of original records from the Zellerfeld Lutheran Church. According to Wikipedia, Zellerfeld was merged with its neighbour in 1924 to form Clausthal-Zellerfeld.

I have names, events and dates from research done in the late 1970s. I believe the person who gathered the information used a researcher in Germany.

The BDM events occurred in the 1840s, prior to the family's emigration to Australia.

I have tried the Arcinsys Niedersachsen system but that's quite challenging without a knowledge of German. A simple name search on All Archives didn't come up with anything.  The German baptism records on Family Search also came up blank for my names.

I'm happy to go through a German-based researcher if need be. I see a few threads on this but nothing recent.

Thanks

Sure. My immediate need is to confirm the following, from an original source. The information is from research from around forty years ago. Surely, the records are more readily available? I don't think family trees will help - they are rarely sourced.

Heinrich Zacharius HEYER, born 2 March 1817, christened on 7 April 1817 in Zellerfeld.
Lisette Christiane Henriette RANK, born 2 August 1817, christened on 31 August 1817 in Zellerfeld.
Marriage: Heinrich HEYER and Lisette RANK on 18 May 1845 in Zellerfeld.
Death: Lisette HEYER on 27 March 1846 in Zellerfeld.
Child: Lisette Christiane Henriette HEYER, born 18 March 1846, christened on 29 March 1846 in Zellerfeld [http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=726256].
