Sorry I probably should have shown my calculation!
Hope it is the correct family

I have been given family information that insisted that names or details were correct to find that they were almost correct but not quite e.g. wife was Esther to find that was the daughter etc.

It would be great if the Church Marriage record could confirm this information for you and tie it all together. The Baptism record has no record LINK

Wow you found that quickly, it took me forever to find that!

When I was recording information on the Castletown Kennys I felt I was recording some unconnected family that I would later delete. Now that the Service record gives a birth date I will be researching with a very different attitude

Bear in mind the Service Record gives an implied date, however, the younger the person is when an age is established the more likely it is to be correct and the more formal the reason for recording the age also give more or less credibility.
Best of luck

If I was asked that yesterday I'd have been very sceptical but now I strongly believe it is. I'm delighted I asked here now.

Thought I should add this here.

James Kenny's record shows he was recommended by D.I. Fallon

District Inspector Owen Fallon was stationed in Killybegs.
