If anyone can attaempt this restoration I would be really grateful, Thanks in advance. the hole in the middle was where the album string was placed. So sorry about that.

Just for information, if anyone is interested, the machine is a Binder (or Reaper/Binder) which cuts the corn and ties it into sheaves. It was replaced by the Combine Harvester in the mid 20th century.

Thank you Handy pandy you did a really great Job on fixing it. I would love to see a copy in the original hues as well please if possible?   

Mike175, I had no idea what it was!!  I watched the video from the link you put up , it looks really dangerous for the people operating it, no safety barrier. It moves pretty fast much better than doing it by hand like they used to.  I had a cornfield across the road from my house when I was growing up I found a couple of pictures yesterday I will add them. I assume it is a combine harvester but you will know more than me. The farmer used to get all the young boys in the whole road to help stack the bales....then they changed to those huge circular ones  I have a picture of it somewhere it looked really nice out of my bedroom window.
