I know it is all very confusing!
Its funny how i was given an exact date for William Price's marriage and yet there is no registration for it............

Melia

The date 11/12/1867 was in fact the actual marriage date of Annie RICHARDS and John PLUMB.

I don't know how I missed the marriage registration for the second marriage PLUMB/PARKER ::) ???
Obviously not thorough enough in my searching.

Thanks for highlighting it Melia.

1876 C458 Annie PLUMB
Harry Rookley PARKER

Essie

??? PRICE and PLUMB seem to be merging here.
I do wonder where the information that the PRICE/RICHARDS marriage was at Gayndah came from
Did the friend researcher have that certificate?

The marriage details would have come from a birth certificate of one of Annie's children.  The question was "When and where married".  Using a real or familiar date means you wouldn't forget the story when registering the next birth  ;D

  ??? ???

Marriage recorded Anna RICHARDS to John PLUMB 11/December/1867.

Child of William PRICE and Hannah RICHARDS dies  August 1868.

1868 C714 William Price. Parents William PRICE & Hannah RICHARDS

A child also named William PRICE has a birth registration noted with R meaning late.
1869 R145 William PRICE Parents William & Hannah RICHARDS

Is this the late registration of the deceased child William?

Well i never ! Sometimes it pays to trust your hunches. It costs more to prove it if your hunches are in Australia though lol. I paid out for some images which i you can get the same of if Ancestors are in England mostly for free. Never mind.
So these images prove some things, throw up some more mysteries, and maybe confusion on Hannahs part.

John PLUMB marriage.
11 Dec 1867 Gayndah. to Annie Richard.
Johns details age 25, a bushman, born Northw***(could be Northwich) England, parents John PLUMB/Betty GARTON.
Annie's details age 21, born Bridport, England. Parents George RICHARD/Eliza WALDEN

Harry Rookly PARKER marriage. (who in later items becomes Henry lol)
20 Dec 1876 Millchester to Annie PLUMB Spinster but amended as widow.
Harry age 40 born Exmouth, Devonshire, England. Parents Thomas and Sarah.
Annie age 27 born Bridport, Dorsetshire, England. Parents George RICHARDS/Eliza WALDON

So all perfectly normal there.
So i then got 2 births and the death for the poor William who had his leg amputated (I was hoping).

Death
William PRICE 22 Mar 1875, Maryborough Hospital. Amputation age 35 Labourer. Born Cheshire, England. Married Gayndah at age 27 to Hannah RICHARDS.
Father William PRICE, mother UNKNOWN.
children, Sarah 6, George 4, William 3, Margaret 1/2 year.

So from that it seems the newspaper report got the number of children wrong. it seems like the man Annie/Hannah married and yet its a different name!!!

Will the 2 births help??? I got the first William as it seems he was died in 1868 but the birth wasn't registered until 1869, and i got Sarah's.

So on 7 July 1869 Annie registered Sarah's birth in Maryborough.
Sarah PRICE born 4 July 1869, living Maryborough, father William Price, age 25, Timber Getter, born England. Mother Annie Formerly Richards, age 22, born Dorsetshire England. Married Gayndah. (no date). Other children none living, 1 male dead.

Then on 16 Nov 1869 William (or is it John !!!???) registered The first William's birth in Brisbane.
William PRICE born 5 August 1868 in (Writing tiny but looks like) G*n (i think or r)ga*ie, so g*nga*ie. living Grahams Creek. Father William Price age 27 Bushman (same as John PLUMB's marriage) born Liverpool England. Mother Hannah formerly Richards age 22, born Dorstshire, England. Married 11 Dec 1867 Gayndah. Other children Sarah 3 years. She was actually according to Annie's register of her birth only just gone 1!!!!

So it seems John PLUMB and William PRICE both married Annie Richards on the same day!!! I don't think so, so did John become William (No mothers name on his death certificate) and why does Sarah have William PLUME down as her father on her death certificate?

 I love family history !!!!!!

One birth in the MAR Qrtr 1841 for a William PRICE -  so about the right age
Reg.  Northwich  19 / 176
Were these men known to each other?

BUT found by Sue ..... John PLUMB birth record at Northwich and same age as William PRICE from Cheshire.
