The Indexes to the Civil Records of Irish Births, Deaths and Marriages date from 1864 with non-Roman Catholic Marriages recorded from 1845.

The years covered by the release of the historic Indexes to the Civil Records of Births, Marriages and Deaths are:

Births: 1864 to 1916

Marriages: 1845* to 1941

Deaths: 1864 to 1966

*non-Roman Catholic Marriages are recorded from 1845, Roman Catholic Marriages are recorded from 1864

Yes, I think I have been on a wild goose chase, unfortunately.  My Greatgrandfather Andrew Lawlor states on the 1891 census when living in Surrey that he was born 1865 in Lettonn Ireland.  Cannot find this place.  Cannot find any trace of his birth, maybe I should be checking out Dublin births? On another census he states born in Raheen Queens.  Very confusing.
Thank you everyone for your help, disappointed but shall keep looking for clues.

Andrew Lawlor's father was John Lawlor (farmer).  On Andrew's marriage certificate in 1890 it is noted John Lawlor, farmer, was deceased.  Andrew died in Surrey in 1932.
Have a relative Mary Lawlor, think born 1879, died 1949 in Victoria, Australia, and on her marriage certificate in 1912 in UK her father is noted as John Lawlor, farmer.  Wondering if she is Andrew's sister?  So many things to match up.
