Knockoloe Camp WW1

Hi,
I am looking for information of staff member's imparticular my great uncle James McCormick
According to his son's Canadian Army Paper's, he said his Dad James was at the Camp.
James emigrated to Canada in 1907 with his family.

Any help will be appreciated

The first place to look would be www.knockaloe.im

But, most records are at TNA in Kew.

the guards at Knockaloe (note spelling) were mostly the older soldiers who were thought unfit for active service 
- a few died whilst at Knockaloe - the place was chosen as it had ready access to water etc, near a town  and had been used for many years pre WW1 as a summer training ground for the TA
- they were supplemented by many more 'blue coats' or civilian workers to handle the post, kitchens etc
As already mentioned all the official records are in the UK National Archives
 - the Manx records are mostly the incidental records eg if the soldiers were involved in a brawl at a pub etc
