Yes Gadget, and it's the same address  ;D
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=786404.new#new

I said yesterday that I couldn't understand how people see the father's chin in a baby, and likewise I am useless at guessing a child's age !

I thought folk would date using the dresses. Stupidly, I didn't think it would be help to list the birthdates - sorry about that.

Winifred born Q3 1898, BURIED Nov 1906
Gladys 21 July 1903
Dorothy 2 Sep 1905
Lily Q2 1907

Carol's good at estimating children's ages.  I'd say they look about 5 and 6 or 7.

Is there anything at all on the back of the photo?

This is the back of the photo. No clues there?

From comments so far, I assume we can say Winifred (died 1906) is not in the picture.

Can we rule out that it’s Gladys and Lilian together, because of the four year age difference between them?

If I’ve worked this out correctly (please say if I’m wrong!)

1910 = Dorothy aged 5, Gladys aged 7
1911 = Dorothy 6, Gladys 8
1912 = Lilian 5, Dorothy 7
1913 = Lilian 6, Dorothy 8

Are those daffodils in the tub in the bottom right corner? No one is particularly wrapped up, although the sun is weak (no shadows) so is this late Spring?

There is a clue to the back you know - the division down the centre didn't start until 1904, in UK, and  the place for the stamp was later I think, but can't remember when.

Carol will know!

Wiggy - well I never, I'm learning with every topic! Is that "M16" or "M46" in the stamp box, if that's another clue?

The divided back postcard was introduced in the UK in 1902 Wiggy.

I'm learning too!!   ;D  ;D

The site I looked up said 1904 so I just quoted -  it said 1907 in US so I presumed 1904 was UK - sorry.    :-[.

But what about stamp boxes, Carol?   :).   I tried to find that out too but couldn't get the required of!    ;)

Elizabeth would be 40 in 1907 and I think she might be around that age.

It's very difficult with the girls fairly evenly space. I know that shoes were being introduced rather than boots by the late noughties.
